Lori Bowen Ayre has posted an alert about Washington state House Bill 2747, which adds additional filtering and blocks access to more online material for library patrons. Ms. Ayre is often referenced for her excellent summary and list of resources about filtering on the Infopeople Project How-To Guides: Filtering the Internet Web site.

The Journal of Digital Contents (JDC) looks like it is going to have some very interesting content. According to the site it is an international peer-reviewed journal “The international Journal of Digital Contents (JCD) is a quarterly journal about the management, presentation and uses of contents in digital environments.” Click on the Contents link in the sidebar to access the January 2004 issue: This is a “Special issue on Digital Learning/Teaching Environments and Contents.” The articles have both abstracts and full text PDFs.
