This was an interesting story of how Melissa goes to rent a house on the coast to get a bit of peace. She does not really find it, but does find comfort with Stone Thomas when strange happenings occur at the house. I found myself keeping reading to see what would happen next and to see if they could get to the bottom of it. I received a copy of this book to review.

The House at Homecoming Cove by Ginny Baird was such a delight to read with its romance and mystery excellently intertwined thought the story. Melissa is a music composer who rents out a historical fifty acre farmhouse on the Virginia Eastern Shore in order to work in peace. As soon as she arrives she comes across Stone; he is the groundskeeper for the magnificent farmhouse. Stone is quickly attracted to Melissa. He also has some ties to the farmhouse. Odd and mysterious things start to occur and Stone is determined to protect Melissa. Love blooms between the two but secrets of Homecoming Cove could push them away. Is them being apart better for them both or are they safer together? Do they get their happily ever after? I just loved this book. Ginny's story keeps you intrigued from start to finish. The characters are superbly portrayed. I, personally, just loved both Melissa and Stone. The romance and suspense is well executed. Mrs. Baird knocked this one out of the ballpark. Yay Ginny! I received this ARC for an honest and fair review.

A great story with the perfect blend of sweet romance and mild element suspense. Loved the descriptive writing, I felt like I could close my eyes and be right there. Melissa has a block in her musical writing, so she has has decided to rent an old farmhouse on the Virgina shore. She soon meets Stone, who takes care of the grounds. "She was here to compose, not to become involved with some local men." When mysterious things start happening in the house, Stone is there to protect Melissa. They start trying to solve the mystery, they soon feel like they have know each other forever. "May those who come together here, never fall apart." I highly recommend this book for a sweet romance with an element suspense.

Note: I was provided a complimentary copy for an honest review. Well, Ginny has done it again and given us another gripping romance with just the right balance of suspense and romance. Melissa is a musician who's in a slump. Her music seems to have dried up. So, in a last effort to revive her career, she heads to the eastern shoreline of Virginia, to an old farmhouse. There, she encounters Stone, who is currently working the grounds until he can get the motivation to pursue his dream of opening a museum. As soon as Stone and Melissa meet, they are drawn to each other - almost as if they have a past. But, that's impossible since they just met. They recognize the pull, but can't explain it. Yet, together, they feel complete - ready to reach for their dreams and make them happen. Unlike the previous two books in this series, the paranormal element begins early in the book. Melissa learns shortly after moving in that the house is considered haunted, but she's convinced that there's a logical explanation to everything - that is until it becomes all too real. Stone has heard the rumors too, but always dismissed them because he's never witnessed anything - until Melissa shows up. What is it about Melissa that's stirred up the ghosts of the past? Are there ghosts or is there an explanation? Is Melissa in danger? The plot develops nicely - giving just enough clues to keep you reading. The romance feels slightly steamier than the previous books in this series, but it still stays within the bounds of a PG rating. The language is clean, without anything offensive And, the end is satisfying with a good sense of closure. My rating - 5 stars.
