The find, a body, a ring, that are too new, and someone wants this Jane Doe. Finley trying to overcome fears of the night and noises. Griffen trying to overcome his loss and shuts himself off. A gripping story, of why someone is going to such length and continues, wanting the body. Killing all that stands in his way. The characters are well defined and what personal things they are dealing with. A good beginning to a new series, her books are always winner, and doesn't disappoint the readers..

Cold Shot Dani Pettrey Book Summary: In college, Griffin McCray and his three best friends had their lives planned out. Griffin and Luke Gallagher would join the Baltimore Police Department, Declan Grey would head to the FBI, and Parker Mitchell would study to become a crime scene analyst. But then Luke vanished before graduation and their world--and friendships--crumbled. Now years later, Griffin has left the police and his friendships behind. Still trying to forget a case that went bad when he was a SWAT team sniper, he's living a quiet life as a park ranger at Gettysburg. Quiet until skeletal remains are uncovered near Little Round Top--and they aren't Civil War-era. Griffin just wants the case to go away, but charming forensic anthropologist Finley Scott discovers evidence pointing to the work of an expert sniper. When FBI agent Declan Grey steps in to take over the case, past and present collide. Griffin soon realizes he'll need to confront some of the darkest days of his life if he--and those he cares about--are going to escape a downward spiral of crime, danger, and murder. Review: Great start to this new series. This was an exciting story with some great twists along the way. This was a well written and exciting story. Griffin and Finley were fun and I am looking forward to future stories. This was an interesting story with a lot of loose ends with is Luke alive and who will Kate end up with. The new characters are exciting. I do hope that the next story are going to go to have the twists and turns this one did. There was so much going on and yet there was down time to regroup and give the reader a break. The storyline was very interesting with lots of surprises. There were several things going on that with the men’s youth connections and the murder they were trying to solve. For me it is always a hesitation to start a new series especially if the previous series was so good. I would like to thank Net Galley and Bethany House for allowing me to read and review this book in return for a free copy and I was never asked to write a favorable review by anyone.
