Description

★★★★★ "I would love to get wrapped up in Chance's rope! WOW! What a cowboy!"

A feisty heroine and an alpha cowboy determined to make her his.

Rose Lenox has always been more comfortable on the back of a horse than wearing ribbons and bows. For years, she's been content working on the family ranch, but lately she's wanted more. She's determined to strike out on her own and find freedom from her unorthodox family.

Chance Goodman has watched Rose grow up from a spitfire little girl into a fiery woman. He's wanted her for years, waiting patiently until he could make her his. When she leaves the Lenox ranch determined to abandon her former life and to say good-bye to him, he knows now is the time he must claim her. Letting her go isn't an option.

Cowboys & Kisses by Vanessa Vale was a great read. We get to know Rose Lenox who is more comfortable in her pants and on the back of a horse, then in the ribbons and bow as her sisters. She has grown restless and wants adventure and independence but finds herself in a bit of a crisis. This is where Chance Goodman steps in, Chance has always had an eye on Rose but was biding his time till she was ready for more. When she is in need of help he is there and this is just where the real fun and excitement starts. I absolutely loved this book and I highly recommend it. Spoilers are included. This book was so, so good. I loved it. Chance is hot and the perfect mix of dominant, caring, and gentle. Rose is so strong, willful, and determined even if she is a bit rash at times. They are so perfect together. As a tomboy myself, I really feel for Rose when she’s surrounded by her girly sisters. It would drive me crazy too. The book was well written, and it had a really good plot. I will definitely be reading it again, and I look forward to the rest of the series. Disgustingly crass with absolutely no redeeming story line. Filthy for filthy's sake. Don't waste your time on this sick drivel.

I love, love, love Ms Vale's books. Her writing style I like, the situations between the couples I like that. The lessons learned and taught I like that. She offers a variety in everyone of her books I like that.

This is a very steamy, old west romance. The saying "be careful what you wish for" definitely applies to Rose Lenox. Except her wish came in the form of neighboring ranch owner Chance Goodman. A very sexy cowboy that has waited a long time to claim Rose for himself. This is book one in The Wildflowers of Montana series and it starts off with a sexy, dirty talking cowboy that can't wait to teach his woman a few lessons in safety. Lessons that she was bound and determined NOT to listen to but she sure did love the punishment. I can't wait to read book two.

3.5* I enjoyed this short story and I was happy to have more of a story line then just your normal erotic short story. Rose and Chance have know each other most of their lives. Rose and her seven sisters was We're all orphaned as a result of the great Chicago fires. They were taken in by two sisters and former owners of a bordello. Wanting a new life they left Chicago for Montana to raise the girls and cattle. Rose is now nineteen and has had enough of her flighty sisters and wants a ranch of her own so she leaves home and heads out on her own. Chance sets out to find her and bring her home and make her his. Rose being the hellcat she is fights him all the way. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
