  • Rough Draft?

So many mistakes this seemed like a rough draft. It was difficult to figure out the exact time period this book takes place. The bride came on a stagecoach but then opened canned goods for dinner and shopped at a market and butcher shop. First Billy had green eyes, then he had dark brown, almost black eyes. The writing style was so simplistic it was almost boring. With so many books to choose from these days, I will not read this author again.

Liked her story-telling style, but oh, does she need an editor or a better editor. Poor editing is distracting, to say the least. However, I did like her characters, and that is important, too.
  • Why must women be weak just because they marry

Here we start with this strong, independent woman who goes after what she wants and doesn't take guff from anyone. Now that same woman is married, gets kidnapped or caught unawares three times only to be saved by males (twice by her husband and once by her horse). Seriously? Weak, disappointing and typical.
