The instant attraction between Angela and Nick grabbed me just as instantly. The back and forth of their feelings and their separation pulled at my heart. I wanted everything to work out. As things are revealed, even the little surprise, I rooted for their HEA. I recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

A story with passion is the best way I can describe Nick and Angela's story. This is the first book I've read by Ms Madden and I have to say...I want more! I found the premise of switching between the past and present...after the first two years...very engaging, providing the reader the characters' backstory in a creative format. The author's characters are well developed, multidimensional, with tons of personality and heart. Nick is the ultimate alpha hero without being overbearing. He reeks masculinity with charm...driven by his career as a FBI agent...driven by his heart after meeting and falling in love with Angela. And then there is his son Nicholas...there is nothing sexier than a father holding his child. The secondary characters of Eve and Jase are absolutely hilarious...and could have their own story! The author also did a fine job of providing some of the backstory of the first book in the series, with those characters bleeding very nicely into this one. I definitely look forward to continuing with the series as it unfolds...perhaps David's story is next? This book was provided by Netgalley for my honest review.

I couldn't wait to read Nick's story. AM has done it again by keeping me so into what I was reading that I didn't want to put my kindle down. With Nick finishing up his assignment he never thought he would have meet Angela. What was suppose to be a one night stand changed both their lives. What happens when the one night you had together still stays with u until you are reunited again? Absolutely love Nick and Angela story. I felt every emotion that they were going through and was captured in the love they had for each other. AM is an author that every time she releases a book I will always buy and dive right in, I am never disappointed. I can't wait until David's story

Nick Farley, an FBI agent is working undercover at the bar The Dump in Chicago, IL as Nick Smith. After 6 months of being there, he is one week away from being done when he meets Angela Cavello, the hot brunette that caught his attention. Angela has a bucket list, according to her cousin, Eve, and having a one-night stand is on it and wonders if Nick would be willing! What neither Nick nor Angela expected was for their time together to be explosive. Nick confesses to Angela who he really is and wants her to follow him to New York City. After some interesting developments, Angela tells Nick that she wants to break up and won't be coming to NYC. What Nick doesn't know is that Angela is hiding a big problem and doesn't want Nick to get hurt. Fast forward almost 2 years later and Nick and Angela are brought back together in a big way. I just adored these characters. They were fun, sexy and seemed perfect for each other. The path these two had to go through to get back together was crazy. I was captivated by this story and could not put this down. The explosive ending was great....did not see that one coming. Their happy ending was perfect too! Overall a great story and I would highly recommend it!

Glass Ceilings is the first book I have read by this author. Because of this book I have a new author to binge read! Glass Ceilings is a holy hotness, intrigue, twists, turns, angst, suspense, oh no moments, oh yes I want a guy like him moments and love in the perfect proportions! Nick Farley is quite the hottie. He is added to my short list of #BookBoyfriends He is one hot Fed. Angela Cavello is the main female character. She is living with her cousin to make a fresh start. Will he ex boyfriend let her start a new life without him and is he who he says he is... They have a slow start at romance Until. They. Don't. He has to report to NY and she is supposed to quickly follow him. Until.She.Can't This book will take you on a rollercoaster ride complete with screams and chills, ups and downs, twists and turns, hot scenes and lonely nights, questions and answers, thrills, hold your breath moments and you will grip your kindle like safety bars afraid to let the story go.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it!! Nick meets Angela when they are both at major life turning points, that seem to be pointed in the same direction. Their chemistry is undeniable, but unfortunately their stars aren't aligning as well as they planned and they lose touch. So it's very interesting when they are "reintroduced"--is the spark still there, have they changed too much since they last saw each other, will the rest of the world give them a chance this time? In Glass Ceilings A.M. Madden has given us a wonderful story with incredible twists, tension, and heat. Nick and Angela's relationship is hot, steamy, and very complicated by extenuating, but not unbelievable, circumstances. Their story is accented, as usual, by Ms. Madden's colorful supporting characters who add so much depth and definition to the story--I'd love to hear more of Jase and Eve's story someday, and it was nice to get a glimpse into Ben and Ella's lives again, too (check out "Stone Walls"!)! I love the way Ms. Madden writes her characters so that when you've finished the book you feel like you just caught up with an old friend who you want to stay in touch with!!

Another sweet story by A.M. Madden. The couple in this standalone book is FBI Agent Nick Farley who you are introduced to in book one. Glass Ceilings is a second chance romantic suspense story not much different from the first book. Main hero is in law enforcement and main heroine is in danger from mob family. Because of that danger, Angela learns immediately that she has to stay away from Nick for his safety. The book fast forwards two years when they meet again when Angela gets pulled in for questioning for her ex's murder and Nick happens to be one of the agent on the case. The author takes you on their journey of healing and building back what they once had all the while dealing with the murder case of Angela's ex. There are a lot of bumps in the road but they end up stronger than ever. I already have my guess on who will be the next Hero in book 3! ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
