Love the Alex Delaware books and this was no exception. Sometimes I lost track of the lines of past relatives, but I still enjoyed the book. I was a tiny bit disappointed by the arrest scene near the end as I had hoped that there might have been more descriptive action and dialogue from Dee Dee.

I've been reading Jonathan Kellerman books for years. The Alex Delaware novels are especially good reads that entice the imagination with the intricacies of a good "who done it." This one was also good but I thought it lacked the usual crispness that usually defines JK's books. The sex crime aspect of the principle suspects didn't have much bearing on the case except to justify the search warrant later on, which brings up serving that warrant. What took place seemed uncharacteristically ill-prepared based on past novels, and the end result was really not a surprise. Smart phone use, welcome to the 21st century. The added dimension of the smart phone, found throughout the novel, seemed to change the dynamic between Alex and Milo, bringing them together for longer periods of time instead of them having to separate to conduct their respective information searches. All in all, it was a good read. Entertaining as always and I look forward to the next adventure.

The story, heartbreak Hotel, begins with an intriguing and mysterious setting. As the story unfolds it lacks its initial promise. The core criminals portrayed are unnecessarily depicted as sex predators and violators. A good read nonetheless!

Enjoyable mystery - limited info at the beginning which allows the reader to try to solve the events in place with Dr. Delaware and Milo - an intriguing fast paced read, recommended highly!!!

Usually love Kellerman's books. This one was so even-keeled it really became boring. There just wasn't any excitement or reason to stay up all night reading.

I am not sure if it is so much the story itself as it is the comraderie between Alex Delaware and Milo Sturgis. I travel throughout Los Angeles with these two. And when they're not around I pine away for them endlessly. And I may be biased but Jonathan Kellerman never lets me down. Very rarely am I disappointed. Having just finished the story I am disappointed that it is over. It's gonna be at least a year until I get to hang out with these two again.
