Great story plot put together. Author has an amazing imagination. You get sucked into the world she has created for us from the beginning to the end. Obstacles were never ending and loss was never an option but they finally reach there destination. There is a lot of fighting and gore but there is also romance and hot sex. The characters are awesome and love them and i hope they all make it including Rivers new friends. Can’t wait to read the next book.

I became a fan while reading the first book in the series. This sequel doesn't disappoint. A great, yet imagination stretching, plot and well developed characters bring this novel to a climax that leaves the reader anxiously awaiting the next in the series. It isn't often I come across a new author I so thoroughly enjoy. From laughter to tears, the characters and their trials will chisel their way into your top reading list!

Book two in the Road to Hell series by Brenda K. Davies proved to be as riveting and hard to put down as Good Intentions. In the moments I’d have to stop reading, I’d find myself thinking about the characters and wondering what was going to happen next until I could return to the story and find out for myself. With each new obstacle Kobal and River faced, I felt I was taking the journey with them, and by the last page I felt as if I’d learned so much about their world. Brenda’s imagination shines as bright as the life force River wields as she introduces us to new creatures, characters, and situations. The descriptions of the surroundings and characters easily built a visual that played through my mind while my heart is raced. I love that Brenda can throw in moments of levity with new characters while still keeping to the tone and feel of the story. Kobal and River’s brief moments of reprieve in their race against the broken seals are enough to deepen their connection and strengthen the bond these Chosen have. I love watching River’s abilities grow and expand with each obstacle she faces. She’s evolving into a confident, capable warrior while still retaining that loving, sweet side that Kobal loves so much. Best of all, she doesn’t back down from him, and is determined to follow her heart--that core of who she is that keeps her humanity firmly in place. I’m already greatly anticipating book three. Watching the variations of River’s ancestry enhance and build her growing powers means we have much to look forward to as the story continues, and I absolutely can’t wait!
