#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Bringing together a cast of fascinating characters in a riveting tale of ambition and corruption, politics, passion, and ultimate justice, Dangerous Games is a thrilling drama from Danielle Steel.

Television correspondent Alix Phillips dodges bullets and breaks rules to bring the most important news to the world—from riots in America to protests on the streets of Tehran. With her daughter in college, and working alongside cameraman Ben Chapman, a deeply private ex–Navy SEAL, Alix revels in the risks and whirlwind pace of her work. But her latest assignment puts her at the center of an explosive story that will reshape many lives, including her own: investigating damning allegations involving the Vice President of the United States, Tony Clark.

Alix begins with a nationally revered woman who may be the key to exposing frightening secrets. Olympia Foster is the fragile, reclusive widow of America’s most admired senator, who had been destined for the presidency before an assassin’s bullet felled him. Since then, Olympia has found emotional support in Clark, who once wanted her as his wife and now stands as her protector and confidant. When Alix digs deeper, federal agents pick up the trail. Then the threats start.

As the stakes rise in this dangerous game, Alix needs Ben’s help as never before. And soon they realize they are grappling with an adversary far more sinister than they had imagined.

  • Worst book ever

Please don't buy this book. It's terrible and boring with barely a plot. Nothing really happens in it. I can't believe it was published. I have never read a DS book before and am in shock that people like her books. I never will again!

  • Danielle Steele has lost her touch

As an avid Danielle Steele book reader, I was seriously disappointed by this poorly written and completely predictable story line. I was so bored that I raced through the book as quickly as possible. Perhaps she should stop churning out books so ridiculously fast. This book is a disgrace.

It was very interesting for the majority of the book but it seemed like the climax happened too early and too quickly. As I kept reading I was waiting for something else to happen but nothing did.

This is undoubtedly the worst Danielle Steele book I have ever read. It was repetitious and predictable. I kept reading hoping the final chapters would redeem the book, but alas no! Please save your money and purchase something with an interesting plot. The premise of the book was good, but without details, exciting near misses and even a resolved romance, it yielded nothing but boredom. I am sad to say this but I will be very careful about buying another book by this author, way to repetitious and uninspiring! I may even delete from reader as I will Never read it again or recommend it!
  • Never say in one page what you can say in 100

This book is so bad at continually repeating the sameness over and over that you would think it is beyond painful to read. It is and was for me. Never finished it.

I should have read and reread the previous review before I bought this book - I am on page 173 and I don't think I will finish it. How does Danielle Steele get by with writing this drivel? It's the same old same old, over and over again - and she keeps selling books (partly thanks to stupid me) and she keeps pulling in the big bucks. This plot is predictable and weak - if you didn't get it in the first chapter- it will all be repeated in each of the following chapters - this book is a serious waste of money - not to mention the time I have wasted reading 173 pages.
