Magical Surprises

Excellent book! As the destroy Houston and new ruler wannabes story continues, the action reveals some new powers. Nevada and Connor are quite a pair. Their romance has bloomed there is plenty of family support. There is lots of surprises and plenty of plot twist. I love the ending but I hope this isn’t the final book as this is a cliff hanger. So I highly recommend this book and you will find plenty going on and the humor adds so much to the story! Bug, Bern Leon would make interesting single stories as well as Catalina and Arabella but you must not forget mom and grandma Frieda!
Not sure how I feel because I was expecting a conclusion to the “trilogy"

This third book is probably my least favorite of the series (after loving the first two so much), but upon my second reading I liked it quite a bit more. It definitely doesn’t feel like a conclusion so hopefully Ilona Andrews will continue this series! I am hoping it will be as long as the Kate Daniels series because I love the characters so much.

The only thing I don't like about reading a book by Ilona Andrews is that moment when you realize you've finished the book and the next one isn't out yet. Always such a sad moment, but I loved every second of reading it!

Terrific! So many lovable characters...2 footed and more. So many possibilities for more books. Would love to see book about Matilda and the tiger like intelligent creature. Such a warm feeling of family book evokes...greatly needed in these angry chaotic times.
Please create sequels.
Hooked on Innkeeper series...now you have me watching two series....
Thanks,
Joy

Set in the Houston area, this third book is my favorite of the series and full of moments that just stole my breath away. If you like your stories with a mix of paranormal, fantasy and urban fantasy – this is the series for you. And I do suggest that you read them in order: this is one of those long-progressing relationship arcs that needs the input from earlier books to not leave you wondering just why something happened.
In this story, we are dealing with Rogan’s ex-fiance who comes to Nevada to beg for her help in finding her husband. Well, Nevada isn’t one to take anything lightly, and aside from her feelings that Rynda is thinking that Rogan can be a back-up plan. See, we are learning about the families with magic and the pecking order (more magical = more money and power) and there is a plan afoot to destabilize the balance of things. Nevada has to work out if Rynda’s claims are actually as they appear, or if she is working with / for the bad guys, or guy. In addition, we are meeting more of her family and getting more of her history, she and Rogan are strengthening their own connection, and there is still the questions / battle with the evil grandmother Victoria trying to sway Nevada to her side. Oh the potential for multiple stories from this one are high – and the team of Ilona Andrews does a wonderful job of giving us some answers, providing more questions and keeping readers on the edge wondering just what is next.
Fight scenes in this book are amazing in the best sense: the fantasy/magical elements, the staging and the descriptions have readers glued to the page and cheering on the good guys, or those we believe are so. With plenty of moments that interrupt the smooth forward motion for each of the characters, the challenges are unique, the dialogue snappy and there is always something new around the next corner (or page). Concluding with a bang, there are questions yet unanswered, leaving the door open for more, as we have a sense that Rogan and Nevada will continue to face challenges and roadblocks, but have solidly formed as a couple, ready to withstand them all.
I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via Edelweiss for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Wildfire by Ilona Andrews
If you are familiar with my reviews, then it doesn’t need to be said if the team of Ilona Andrews writes it I’m going to be reading it! Once again, this dynamic duo, less the capes, as woven a nail biting, jaw clenching, spirited adventures that I needed to devour.
Nevada and Connor “Mad” Rogan are off to find Rogan’s ex- fiancé, Rynda, husband. He’s disappeared leaving some nefarious repercussions for Rynda, Nevada and Rogan to face.
Nevada is still reeling from her newly acquired news worthy presence. This new attention brings the attention of a ruthless family member, their grandmother. This is the grandmother that Nevada parents have been on hiding from for years.
The character developments are amazing. Each of Nevada’s family members are cultivated, making your connection to this storytelling just that much more intense.
Magically penned into every urban fantasy reader's dream novel, WILDFIRE is a must read!
I received this ARC copy of Wildfire from Avon. This is my honest and voluntary review.
