While this is part of the Bachelors and Bridesmaids, can easily be read as a stand alone. Loved it! When a mischievous dog grabs Jessica's wallet and hides it in the doghouse, what can she do but try to crawl in to get it. Unfortunately, she can't get out! Luckily for her, Reid, our local firefighter comes to her rescue. Jessica is a single mom recently relocated to this area. Reid grew up there, and due to family responsibility has stayed but is anxious to leave. Instant attraction. Can someone who is cautious about getting into a relationship get involved with someone who doesn't want to get serious? Loved how with "just one more" date each falls deeper and deeper for each other. Thoroughly charming story. Love Barbara's books!

I love this sweet series. It's wonderful to see these women sustain their friendship after college. I love how supportive they are of each other and enjoy seeing them fall in love.

Fantastic story. I actually haven't read the first 5 books in this series (yet) but I can honestly say this book was wonderfully written. As a single story, although it alludes to previous stories, it stands alone very well. Jessica and Reid meet in a very unconventional way, but the story is evocative and charming and beautifully written. Happy endings with a little of what is next that leaves you waiting for the next book in the series. Absolutely made me want tho go back and read the other 5 before the next arrives! Check it out! It won't disappoint!

"Forever Starts Tonight" is another perfect addition to the Bachelors and Bridesmaidsseries by Barbara Freethy and may actually be my favorite one so far. Jessica meets Reid when she gets herself into a bit of a situation involving the doghouse her ex bought for her son. What Jessica thinks is a one time embarrassment (and chemistry session) heats up when they meet again at a Community Emergency training. Read through a beautifully written story as Jessica and Reid have to get past previous issues to see if they can make it. Jessica is hurt by a decision made by Reid but will an injury he suffers at work bring them back together? Lose yourself as Reid maybe realizes the biggest rush of adrenaline doesn't come from surfing but from a certain elementary school teacher!

This was a fun book from start to finish; it hooked me from the first page. As usual with Barbara Freethy's books, I had a hard time putting it down. In this crazy and sometimes stressful world, this series is a wonderful escape. The characters were great, and it's always fun to catch up with favorite characters from previous books. I definitely recommend this book as well as the rest of the books in the Bachelors and Bridesmaids Series. I'm looking forward to reading the final story of the series although I hate to see the series come to an end!

This book is sweet - with a sexy surfer/firefighter and a single mom/teacher, an adorable little boy and a rambunctious puppy (all dogs are puppies!), how could it not be a great time?? A very fun and lighthearted read, totally worth it!

ARC for honest review with no compensation, Barbara Freethy brings the story to life and you can just see this happening in real time. It’s great to see characters from the other books in this series too! ! Reed McAllister, the sexy, was a competitive surfer and is now a hot firefighter who is also a risk taker but at work and in his personal time. He doesn’t look to the future on lives for the here and now. Until he get a call to rescue Jessica Blake, who is stuck in a dog house…… Jessica Blake is the beautiful, sexy, legs that go on forever, single mother to her son Brandon and his energetic wild puppy, Wiley. The puppy decides to be playful and take her wallet to his dog house in the back yard. When Jessica goes to retrieve it, it’s in the very back of the dog house so she decided to crawl in and get the wallet but……she gets stuck! ! In comes the cavalry aka sexy firefighter, Reed!! So begins their relationship but Jessica only wants to be friends after the disastrous mistakes with her ex-husband. She wants someone who will put her and her son first before all else not take risks and possibly only be in her life for a short time. Can these two help each other to find their HEA or will they be destined to just be friends???

Forever starts tonight is the 6th book in the bachelors and bridesmaid series by Barbara Freethy. I was so happy to read the story of Jessica, a young divorced mom with her 8 year old son Brandon. The beginning of the story will leave you laughing out loud while picturing the funny incident where Jessica meets Reid, a very handsome young fireman. The story will take you through the journey of Jessica and Reid getting to know each other and what path they each want to follow. You will catch up with the other bridesmaid in the series which always is a bonus for me. Another book you will enjoy - happy reading!!

FOREVER STARTS TONIGHT by Barbara Freethy. The 6th in the Bachelors and Bridesmaids Series. Another delightful story, that catches you from the first, with the meeting of Jessica and Reed, and a dog named Wiley. Wiley and her son Brandon, are curious, and easy to love. Dating she says no, but he wants a yes. They have great friends, his asks "are you sure, she has a son". The pact she made with friends in college, always a wedding party, no matter what. Here is another wedding, with her as a bridesmaid, they are encouraging her to say yes. Both stuck with responsibilities, and letting go, and thinking of sharing and the future. Her stories are always great, you feel like you are a part of what is going on. Delightful read for young or old. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
