Just loved this book! I’ve been waiting to see what would happen to Luke and Lisa Kessler did not disappoint. Like the other books in the series there is a lot of heart, humor, and heat, but this one brings a darker, edgier tone as Luke must deal with an evil, twisted pack that holds his future in its hands. Luke…*sigh*…all he wants is to find his mate. He’s seen what finding a mate can bring and he wants to find his own happy ever after. He’s also seen what not finding a mate can do to a wolf – not something he wants to even think about since it hits too close to home. Luke has been a great supporting character in the previous books in this series – always loyal, puts the pack first, and always there for everyone, especially his twin brother, so it was great to see him finally step out on his own and look for his own future and happiness. Of all the characters in the series I’ve always thought Luke was the most emotional one…and when he finds his mate that emotion ramps up to alpha conditions and he is one driven wolf – driven to protect and free his mate from Caldwell’s pack as well as doing whatever he can to protect his Reno Pack from the threat of Nero. Of course trying to balance out all that alpha and not putting himself and Raven in even more danger is not an easy task. Raven could hold her own. Even though she’s had a tough life she is still an optimist at heart, and meeting Luke has given her that spark of hope she needs to believe that things might just work out. I love the way she’s always cracking little jokes, bringing a smile to Luke’s face even when they had to face some really awful things. I love how the story arc is progressing and the tie in to Caldwell’s pack added a great dimension to this story and the series. Although we didn’t get to much time with the characters from the other books their presence was felt – especially in his phone conversations with his alpha, Adam, and also with his twin Logan. Although this is part of a larger story arc of the Moon series, this can easily be read as a standalone without anything being missed in the story. Of course I would recommend you start at the beginning to meet the entire Reno pack and understand the larger story arc…but then again this is one of my favorite series! Definitely check this one out – for that matter, any Lisa Kessler book is worth a read!

This may have been my first Lisa Kessler story, but it will NOT be my last! Luke left his Pack in Reno to take a job as the head horse trainer in Sedona Arizona. As not only the younger Pack member but the only one left that hasn’t found his mate, it was too hard to watch the rest of his Pack move forward with their lives while his was still in limbo. He never knew that finding a beautiful stand stranger on the side of the road would change his life. Raven needed to escape the Sedona Pack. They bit and changed her into a wolf against her will, now she needed to get to Reno and hope the Pack there could help her. However she doesn’t plan on running out of gas on a desolate party of the highway. Not does she know how to handle the sexy handsome wolf that comes to her rescue. Will Raven and Luke be able to stop the Alpha’s crazy plan? Or will they lose everything in the process? You’ll have to read WOLF MOON to find out the results of their journey. I have to say although this is the 7th book in the series I didn’t feel like I was blind while reading the story. However I WILL be going back to read the other stories because I want to know what happened. I’m also hoping there are more Moon Series books to come! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via IndieSage through NetGalley in exchange for an honest blog tour review. Due to sexual situations, this book is recommended for readers 17 and older!

I have been reading this series out of order, and this has been the third book I've read from the series. I must say that this was my favorite book so far! I loved it so much! Chapter 1 was such a great example of how to write a proper story. If that doesn't sell this book to you, I don't know what would. Luke was afraid he'd never find his mate, but when he did, wow, what a dilemma! There was a part when Luke was beaten to a pulp and he couldn't fight back. That was such a gruesome thing to read, but it was necessary. I thought it only strengthened his resolve to successfully infiltrate the pack of misguided wolves led by a sinister Alpha. Raven was a headstrong woman who was bitten to become part of an army of werewolves. The instinct to protect was just as present as it was inside Luke's. It was so energizing reading about Raven and Luke trying to protect each other. One of my favorite things from this book was in chapter one when the author inserted all kinds of ironic things that the readers would have already known, but Raven didn't. It was fun waiting for her to piece things together and figure things out. Raven: "You're very sexy when you lift saddles like they weigh nothing." Luke: "And just so you know... I lift saddles multiple times a day." Raven: "Is that a challenge?" Luke: "Nah. Just thought you might want to know." Another thing I really enjoyed was how Luke kept trying to teach other wolves in the pack he'd infiltrated how to properly greet each other. I thought it was so honorable and... right. I also really enjoyed the part when they all turned under a full moon and someone had to bite Luke's tail in order to prevent him from giving away his cover. It would seem that his wolf wasn't in on the secret ;) Overall, this book made me glad I started reading paranormal romance again. That's not to say I'd actively seek them out now, but I'm glad I'm reading this series. "I'd rather have a little place so I can keep accidentally bumping into you."
