I really enjoyed reading this story. I think Joel is a great cowboy, very sweet and sexy. I felt sorry for Vicki, I think she is very loving and compassionate. I didn't like the way she was repeatedly bullied though. I think the book is almost standalone, it's not a cliffhanger but does leave a bit of unfinished business which I am sure is handled in another book. I am voluntarily reviewing free copy.

Joel and Vicki's love story was a tear jerker for me. It really made me think about how rumors and prior acts make you think people cannot change. I loved seeing them grow and learn to trust each other. Vicki has become my new favorite heroine in this series. We learn more about her and Joel's past and how they learn to overcome it together. Rocky Mountain Rebel is the 5th book in the. Six Pack Ranch Series but it can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this book and all the books in this series.
