Yes, there’s spicy scenes in this, but there’s also real character development and plot. I genuinely enjoyed this book and story. There are books that do tropes just to trope and don’t pull it off, but this isn’t that. There are tropes here, but it’s so well done that I didn’t even realize it.

This story begins abruptly, races through the next 150 pages, then ends just as abruptly. I gave it 3 stars because the writing has merit and the characters are likable; however, this story deserved considerably more room to breathe than it was given and - ultimately - was disappointing.

Randall & Hunter meet just before the wedding weekend of Randall's sister. This is the chance for both of them to let off some steam before the major obligations that come from a family wedding. Only they will meet again and very soon.... Hunter cannot believe it when he sees that Randall is part of the wedding. What he thought was innocent now has some major issues. Can they continue in secret? Do they want to? This was a short and sweet story. The characters both give you the feels. Touching, hot, and simple, this story touched onto a little bit of everything. Humor just made it more fun. ***Best of all - this story is FREE, grab a copy at your favorite online retailer.

When Randall and Hunter meet at a gay club and end up spending the night together, all they expected was a hot night of sex. They of course never expected to see each other again. Turns out they were the best man and man of honor at Randall's sister's wedding. They at first play it cool, bit both enjoyed their night together and want more. They do spend more time together between the sheets, but I wish there was more relationship building. I realize neither of them expect anything to last the weekend, since Hunter is in the Army, stationed in Huntsville, Alabama; but Rand is contemplating a move to either Seattle or Huntsville. So I wanted more incentives for him to choose Huntsville other than the possibility of more hot sex. Though, he did want that job more, he was just hesitant about being gay and out in the Bible Belt. Overall, I did enjoy this, and AA didn't disappoint in the sexual aspects of their relationship. Of course there is a sweet HEA, but like I mentioned, it was lacking in relationship development. *ARC provided by authors for honest review.

Happily Ever Chapter's SECOND 5-Star rating of 2017!! ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ FIVE-STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ > > Judging a Book by it's Cover < < Two very sharply dressed men in an intense and somewhat intimate pose. Scroll work gives it an antiqued or old-timey vibe. Title font is thin and not as strong as it should be. Synopsis triggers all of my "must read" buttons. > > Looking Deeper < < POV ~> Third Person Shy virginal rocket scientist, Randall, meets hunky, assertive Army Sergeant, Hunter, at Randall's sister's bachelorette party during their stop at a predominantly gay club and is the man of honor. Hunter's in town to act as Best Man for his childhood best friend's upcoming nuptials. What they thought was a no-strings one-nighter ends up being more once they discover they are paired at the same wedding. Both have their flaws, but they compliment one another wonderfully and FIT better than many other couples I've read lately. Their chemistry is tangible, but imperfect, making them more real and humanized. The secondary characters are fun, but Randall's sister sort of seems like a clueless ditz - completely unaware of the things going on around her. Dialogue and interaction felt natural. The plot was dynamic and entertaining and the flow was incredibly smooth... it always amazes me how two people can team up to write something that reads as effortlessly smooth as this! Conflicts were addressed and resolved without predictability. The happy ending is provided in a flash-forward style conclusion. I would not hesitate to recommend this to M/M fans.
