This book was absolutely everything I’ve ever wanted in a book. It was real. It was honest. It made me extremely emotional every way. I give this book as presents to other people. It’s a story that everyone should know. I only put it down because I had to go to work and sleep.

Easily one of the best holocaust survival stories I think I’ve ever read finished it in 2 days I couldn’t put it down Lale and Gita’s journey of survival is just amazing bravo to the author a must read if you are looking for a holocaust story

I recently have been sucked down the rabbit hole of reading Holocaust novels and this one is definitely worth the read! If you enjoy this read I would highly recommend checking out the author Mandy Robotham.

Its a wonderful story that I was not able to put it down. I am happy I found it. Excellent author. ❤️

Read it through in one sitting. Fascinating and gripping

I could NOT put this book down!

The true story of this couple deserved so much more than it got with this novel. It somehow took a true story of love and survival in one of the darkest times in recent history and turned it into a teen romances novel. I was left with sadness when I finished the book, not from the book itself, but for the story that could have been told. I am truly bewildered that this has good reviews.

Loved every bit of this tragically beautiful story of strength in the face of evil

Captivating journey of two very strong people in an improbable situation but yet their love managed to carry them through. Very well written, you cant stop reading.
