Old Enough was a fabulous story Charmaine Pauls, OMG I was hooked from start to finish. This is all about Jane and Brian, The characters are so well written and yes its a taboo story about Older woman Younger Man, As the saying goes you are only as young the man you feel 😉😉 Bring on the next One. A must read, I voluntarily reviewed the book as a advanced reader copy by netgalley.

My first time reading Charmaine’s books was the Dubious/Consent duet, & I loved them! Dark, dirty & spellbinding! I was excited to see she had a new book, & I was not disappointed in Old Enough. It was taboo (my first time reading an OW/YM tale) & dirty, which I loved. I loved the world building, the storyline & the main characters of Brian & Jane. I want a Brian of my own! I look forward to Young Enough!

**Kindly receive an ARC of Old Enough from the publisher by way of NetGalley for an honest review, no compensations given.** This was the first book I have read by Charmaine Pauls. I was very intrigued by the synopsis and after reading Ms. Pauls bio I knew I just couldn't pass on reading this book. I am so glad that I took the chance. This book was so different, the twist of the older woman and younger man, I loved it! I really enjoyed the author's style of writing, and the attention to character development was spot on. This is Jane and Brian's story. I immediately fell in love with Jane, how could I not, she has both a tragic and courageous side to her. I was amazed how Ms. Paules was able to develop Brian's character, who is only nineteen, into a strong, dominant but also caring man. The way these two characters meet was definitely out of the ordinary, a bit of a twist there. The author also did a great job in developing the secondary characters some of which I liked and wanted to hug and some I really wanted to slap.. Right.. Across.. The.. Face!!! You will have to decide for yourself on that account. I also enjoyed all the conflict between the characters in this book. The story was both detailed and fast paced, with deceit, lies and everything in between and that kept me turning the pages and reading well into the night. There was also some interesting plot twists that I didn't see coming. Some of the storylines were sad, but the way in which the characters dealt with these issues had me admiring them even more. The romance that develop between Jane and Brian was spectacularly written. Loved the forbidden romance and the erotic scenes were panty melting. I honestly could not put this book down. There is a cliffhanger, and I will be insane till the end of August when the next book is published. The saving grace is I know it will be another outstanding read, so worth the wait. Old Enough is NOT a book that you should pass up. Happy reading.

I really don't prefer OW/YM romances. This one was riveting. This was a steamy, hot read! Why the four stars? I just got overwhelmed by all the opposition and conflict in this story. I really want to read what happens in book 2. I recommend it to readers. It was a very entertaining read. So nice to see a hero that actually cares and is not a jerk.

I gotta say this is the best older woman, younger man tropes I have read to date. The author did a brilliant job of making this 19 year old come off as one of the most confident and dominant heroes and yet stay true to his age. Brian's story is believable. The way he is an old soul due to how young he was when he had to become the man of the house. I'm very intrigued by him and I'm on pins and needles waiting to see what is going to happen in book 2. I'm not sure how I feel about Jane yet. I like her. She honorable and honest but maybe too much. I want her to assert herself to a few of the side characters. She is almost too innocent in the midst of many sharks in her life but that is also why I'm loving Brian so much. The way he takes care of her is very appealing. There are so many outcomes I can see for the next book. I really don't know what to expect and that's a big reason why I am so enthralled with this story. I'm so happy book 2 is being published not long after this book. ARC provided by Author.
  • Loved this May/Dec romance!

I was generously given an ARC for a honest review. This book was a first for me in the May/ Dec romance trope. Brian is 19 and Janet is twice his age with a 13 yr old daughter. The book deals with the baggage each character brings to a relationship and that's not even including the age thing. Brian is wonderful....even though he is only 19, he acts so much older and mature, probably because he's had to take care of his mom and sister since he was 9. He is a dominant male in and out of the bedroom and it makes for plentiful scorching hot sex scenes! Jane is a very vulnerable individual and at times I wanted to shake her so that she would get a backbone. But then her past holds her back so much...it's understandable. The whole book was very suspenseful because I kept expecting the pressures on Brian to explode! I can't wait for the next book!
