I didn’t want to put this book down. Every page that was intended to be a stopping point turned into another chapter. It takes will power to read this book slowly but if you are on vacation then binge away and buy the whole series. It’s funny, light, suspenseful and charming. I can imagine Elise Sax and Janet Evanovich hanging out together and having the quirkiest conversations with lots of fun. They seem to be from the same tribe. I really enjoy everything written by Elise Sax.

These books are really short and never tie up the loose ends. I’ve enjoyed the stories I’ve read so far, but it’s not very satisfying to never have the whole storyline wrapped up. It also seems expensive in the long run- buying multiple short books without a full conclusion is starting to feel like a cheap trick. For now, I’m done, I don’t trust the author anymore.

This is the second book in the Goodnight mysteries series and it is laugh out loud funny in parts just like the first book. It has quirky characters and each book has had crimes that are solved by the end of the book as well as an ongoing mystery that has yet to be solved. You will fall in love with Matilda and her fellow reporters and friends and you will definitely wish you could meet the sexy men in her life in person ! The only bad thing I can say about this book is that I wish I hadn’t finished it so quickly! I love this series. !
