All I Want for Christmas Is You

Wonderful characters that sucked me right into the story! It was almost like being part of the town and seeing the story unfold in person. Great descriptions take you on a Christmas journey of romance. Loved it!

A coffee shop, a lost puppy, Mr. December, a large loving family, cookies, a special recipe, an unexpected pregnancy, non-admitted love. This was this book’s recipe for the perfect Christmas read. Kaitlyn is a very independent young woman and she sometimes comes across as an ice queen but I was relieved to see her finally break down those walls. Raphe is a damaged young man who keeps holding back his feelings, but it takes a fire to make him that life is short and no one should be afraid to love. That’s what life is about. Miranda Liasson’s writing was witty, honest, funny —the Christmas tree incident literally had me in stitches! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. As I finished it, I closed it and was left with a feel-good feeling and a smile on my face. Now I am off to the kitchen to make a batch of Kaitlyn’s chocolate snowcap cookies :-)

4.5 stars This is the last book in the Angel Falls series and centers around Rafe Langdon and Kaitlyn Barnes. Kaitlyn and Rafe have been friends for 20 years and have been fighting their attraction to each other. In the last book, they attended a wedding together and got tipsy and ended up hooking up. Rafe has been avoiding Kaitlyn for the past month and they are both miserable. Of course, despite using two forms of birth control, Kaitlyn ends up pregnant. Both Kaitlyn and Rafe have to get past their issues (her abandonment by her father, his losing his pregnant fiancée) before they get to their happily ever after. Both Kaitlyn and Rafe are likable, but flawed characters and I enjoyed watching them grow into a great couple. This was a great series and I will miss Angel Falls.

While you get updates on characters from the last two novels, you can read them in any order. This was by far, the most emotion evoking novel in the series. I cried for Rafe and the losses he suffered. I cried for Rafe’s inability to overcome his past. He was sooo lost! I sympathized with Kaitlyn and her drive to help, rescue EVERYONE. Kaitlyn has a heart of gold and is willing to put it out there to obtain her dreams. But she has family obligations, a life-long crush on a man who’s more friend than anything else, and now a pregnancy to adjust to. You can’t help but root for a HEA-especially once a puppy is added to the mix! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

ARC for honest review with no compensation received from NetGalley All I Want for Christmas is book 3 in the Angel Falls series by Miranda Liasson and a great Christmas story about Rafe and Kaitlyn that’s filled with puppy love, laughter, healing past hurts, unplanned pregnancy, friends to lovers and so much more. Sometimes when you finally accept that you will always remain friends fate steps in and shows you that your heart really knows who and what it wants! What an awesome series Angel Falls is!! Each book can be read as a standalone but reading in order gives a perfect lead in of all the characters involved and how they interconnect.
