Description

The inspiration for the five-part Amazon Original docuseries Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer

This updated, expanded edition of The Phantom Prince, Elizabeth Kendall’s 1981 memoir detailing her six-year relationship with serial killer Ted Bundy, includes a new introduction and a new afterword by the author, never-before-seen photos, and a startling new chapter from the author’s daughter, Molly, who has not previously shared her story. Bundy is one of the most notorious serial killers in American history and one of the most publicized to this day. However, very rarely do we hear from the women he left behind—the ones forgotten as mere footnotes in this tragedy. The Phantom Prince chronicles Elizabeth Kendall’s intimate relationship with Ted Bundy and its eventual unraveling. As much as has been written about Bundy, it’s remarkable to hear the perspective of people who shared their daily lives with him for years. This gripping account presents a remarkable examination of a charismatic personality that masked unimaginable darkness.

Not only does this book give amazing insight of Ted Bundy’s personal life, it also shows how narcissistic and cruel he truly was to those around him in which he claimed he “loved”. My heart goes out to Elizabeth!

I finished this book in one day. Very well written. I can’t even imagine what Liz and Molly feel. I’m sure they have been filled with “what if’s”. The “what if” scenario is super scary! Rip to all the victims and so glad you guys made it out alive!

This is a great book and I finished it in one day, it was easy to read and easy to understand. This book gives you a different perspective, actually two, from two different people Liz and her daughter Molly.

Everything about Elizabeth’s story is disturbing. She did the right thing and called the police on the man she loved and thought she know so well, yet the police seemed to reassure her that her “Ted” was in the clear. All the time, the devil was in her home. Buy the book and let Molly explain that in her own words.

Hearing the perspective of Elizabeth & Molly really will make you think of all the times your intuition has been right. This book speaks to the truth that human intuition reveals. It also speaks to the reality of how common violence is in daily relationships between all people. I applaud Elizabeth & Molly for their strength & vulnerability in sharing their memories. I would recommend this to anybody, especially those who suffered emotional, physical, & other abuses. There is insight in this book that all readers from all backgrounds can connect with. Well done.
