Description

She said she'd never rely on a man again...

Never say never. When meek and mild Posey Davies calls it quits on her toxic marriage, she grabs her two-year-old daughter and runs. Her flight lands her in Grand, Montana, a community happy to take her in and even happier to nose about in her life and her unfortunate past.

The cowboy next door, Zack McGregor, has “good time,” written all over him. He’s only home for a year to help out his older brother, who’s guardian of their sister’s children. Zack is kind, funny and oh-so-easy on the eyes. He’d be perfect, but the practical Posey predicts Zac will disappear as soon as winter sets in.

Zack’s not as laid back and fun loving as he seems. He’s all about family and doing what’s right. When Posey’s deadbeat ex-husband begins making demands, Zack insists on playing protector.

Posey’s never had anyone stand up for her before and soon realizes that perhaps relying on this man and trusting in love is well worth the risk.

I enjoyed the entire series. While they can be read as stand alone, I believe you would enjoy it better as a series, because you get to see the story from each individual brothers viewpoint. I highly recommend them. A very enjoyable read and quick too.😄

Paula Altenburg’s third, and final book, The Cowboy’s Proposal, in the Montana McGregor Brothers series was quite the enjoyable ride, rife with perfectly timed chuckling humor (Jake/wry and Zack/charming and witty), romance, and the perfect amount of suspenseful anticipation for the other shoe to drop (reading the story will show just what I mean…no spoilers in this review). Each of the brothers have garnered a piece of my heart, but Zack…with his boyish charm and ginger handsomeness…won me over from the onset of the series. Ms Altenburg’s characters are endearing, memorable, and relatable. With a premise that is heartbreaking, each of the brothers’ stories were told in tandem…which was masterfully done and became just more and more evident as each brother’s story was told. I’m definitely going to miss the McGregor brothers and their combined families. This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

Wonderful book. I just love Zach and his patience and the sweet way he cares for his sister’s children and Posey’s daughter too. All women wish they could have a Zach in their lives and Posey had him in hers. A sweet HEA.

This # 3 book of The Montana McGregor Brothers is just a delight to read, characters so easy to love and care about. Posey and her daughter Trixie have left an abusive home situation, and even though Posey has enough money to never have to worry about taking care of them she needs Zack’s kind love and support. Gosh I even cared for Posey’s Uncle Bart. This is the kind of book that is hard to put down, you just get so involved. I received an ARC for my honest review.

The Rancher's Proposal is book number three in the The Montana McGregor Brothers series by Paula Altenburg. This is Posey Davies and Zack McGregor's story. I really enjoyed Zack and Posey's story. They were fun characters. Zack was amazing in how he approached Posey and earned her trust and love. An entertaining and sweet read that is a great way to escape everyday life. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

What an intriguing story. Was so wrapped up in it that I almost forgot to make supper! Storyline is complicated in its simplicity. It is certainly not your typical single mom meets rancher. There’s so much more going on with tons of family drama all around. Book was so realistic that I started worrying how everyone was going to make out. This is one of those stories that stays with you long after you’ve finished it. I received an advanced reader copy from Tule Publishing and am leaving my review voluntarily.
