4.5 stars! I really enjoyed this story and love Axel and Geneva. I love that Jami always comes up with characters that have not your average back story. Geneva and Axel meet in a very unusual way and I was happy when Geneva believed Axel and could look past the biggest mistake of his life and give him a chance. They have more in common than they realize. This is new territory for both of them, being in a relationship, so that is telling as to how much chemistry they have and how much they want to get to know each other. I love Geneva! She is a strong, independent woman, drives a Harley and is all in all pretty cool! Axel is just adorable once you see past the arrogance and cockiness of a rookie hockey player who is finally getting his chance in the big show. He used to be a major player but one look at Geneva and that ended for him. I love how she was able to bring him to his knees like that without even trying. This book has all the right stuff; awesome story, Interesting characters-both main and supporting, heat, humor and emotion and let’s not forget hockey. Which I am totally missing during this crazy time! This was a really nice escape from the reality that is life right now!

This is the second book in the scoring series which takes place in Jami Davenport€™s Seattle Sockeye world. I love this book because it is part of a world but can be read as a stand alone. At the beginning it was really hard to like Axel but over the course of the book his love for Geneva helps him change and learn from his colossal mistake. Even though this is was Axel and Geneva€™s story it was great to learn more about Jock. Jock up until this book had been more of a background player with a few blurbs. This is a book I will read several more times. As our world stands still the book is a great escape.

Jami Davenport out did herself with this book. I have read hundreds of sports romance books and have not read one with a plot like this one yet. It’s a one of a kind read that you will absolutely love. It has the warm and fuzzes to drama to suspense. Of course love because what is a romance book without love. Reading the synopsis I thought no way. But yes way. It’s a great book. Alex is well I just love him. He could have been my best bud growing up. Gen reminds me of so many of my cousins. The tough girl on the outside that thinks she can handle it all but is soft on the inside. The plot is a great read. Can’t wait now to read the rest of the Puck brothers and hopefully Jock will get a book. I need him to have a book.
