The book is a very thoughtful view on how subliminal symbols have been used to exert oppression for people of color throughout the world. It also suggests solutions for the black community during the 1970’s & 1980’s. While I don’t agree with some of the author’s views which I don’t want to get into depth, I do believe that the author wanted the best for the black American community and that even in these present days, that the black community needs to take some of the views that the author is suggesting and apply it to their everyday lives!
