Description

In over her head
After escaping a jealous husband, Lana Gregory is done with men. Especially chauvinistic bullies like rival boat captain, Elias Sobol. But after she falls overboard during a storm, she’s stranded on a remote Alaskan island with the very man she hopes to avoid.

The catch of a lifetime
The first day Elias laid eyes on Lana, his selkie soul recognized she was his mate. The feeling is not mutual, however, and the stubborn female has hated him from the start. He's forced to watch from afar, and it's a good thing he has, because now her very life is in his hands.

Deepest secret
As the frigid Alaskan wilderness presses in and the heat between them builds, Lana wonders why she ever thought Elias was the enemy. Until he reveals his true nature, and she’s blown off course. She’s just learning to trust again… but can she trust a man who truly isn’t what he seems?

**Reader note: This book contains explicit language and sexual situations. It is intended for audiences 17 years and older.

Elias knows Lana is his mate but the problem is she can’t stand him. He comes to her rescue. Sigh. Love shifters who are determined to win the heart of their mate. Definitely a good read. Loved it.

Very much enjoyed this different take on shifters. The story was very relatable and well told. Stories about selkies are few so I really hope to read about the rest of Elias’ crew.

I so enjoy PNR but haven’t read much with seafaring shifters let alone selkies…. And this book does not disappoint! I loved how Capt Elias Sobol immediately knew he found his mate but had to step back and wait for her. Of course Lana has no clue that she’s his mate, only that she can’t stand him. I found myself rooting for the captain and smh at the same time. Lana has her own insecurities and watch her come to terms with it and grow from it. And for added bonus we get two epilogues. I love having the knowledge of what happens to them! Definitely recommend this book and the series!!!

Elias recognizes Lana as his mate but she’s married so he did not pursue her. I usually do like the enemies to lovers books because it usually seems so contrived and unrealistic to have that level of emotion towards someone you don’t know and why would either party want to pursue a relationship. Here, it seems a little more believable because her experiences with her late husband and Elias feels the pull towards her because they’re mates. When they’re stranded together, they get to know who each other really is. It was a nice quick read. I was drawn in by the world building and the main characters were likeable and you could feel their chemistry and em towards each other. I look forward to other books in this series and hope there is one with Elias’s brothers or maybe his dad finds his true mate. Highly recommend!

Elias knows what he wants when, he sees that perfect mate. Lana may have second thoughts about how she is feeling.

I love shifters, but this was the first time I’ve read a selkie shifter story, and I really enjoyed it. The characters were relatable, and you can’t help but cheer them on. The story moves quickly, and I finished it in one sitting. The story of The Source, where shifters get their magic, was also new and really interesting. I’m looking forward to reading more of this series, and already bought the next book!

Captain Elias Sobol is a shape shifters Selkie and has known that Lana Gregory is his mate. When he met her two years ago she was married and Elias thinks Lana hates him because he got in a fight with her husband. Two years later and Lana is now a widow and owns her own fishing boat. With a storm brewing Lana still plans on catching salmon. Elias also goes to sea to protect Lana altho she does not know that. Lana is washed overboard and just when she thinks she is going to die a seal saves her. Elias is the seal that takes her to a remote island to save her and they are trapped there and must depend on each other to survive. This gives Elias the opportunity to get to know his mate and Lana an opportunity to get to know Elias. This is a very well written shifter story about two people who learn to care for each other but are they brave enough to work for a future together. This is a hot steamy read and I loved every minute of it. I received a free copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily.
