Wow! What a fun ride. This book was full of suspense, engaging characters, friendship, romance and surprise. Taryn left Jace’s life 5 years ago unexpectedly. Her and dad and brother got themselves into trouble and dragged Taryn and Her sister along for the ride. The girls have been in a difficult environment ever since. Taryn needs money, help and some hope. She goes back to Jace who takes her back with open arms. Jace and his military friends do everything they can to help Taryn. I loved this end to the series! The book was exciting and held my attention from the first page to the last. It can be read as a stand alone but it’s better if you read from the beginning to get to know all the characters and their stories. Thanks to the author for allowing me to read an ARC.

What I love about most standalone series is that you get a great group of side characters that follow along in each book until most of them become a main character. It helps get me more and more invested in the series because I want to see all my favorite people get their happily ever after. Jace has been one of those recurring characters. I've enjoyed him as a side character and I really liked him as a main character. His love for Taryn never went away even years after she just upped and left town on him. His dedication to her is always what I'm looking for. Taryn was put in a very tough spot when she disappeared and I really didn't see how she could have done anything else. Sometimes second chance love irritates me because of the reason of the break up but that is not the case in this situation. Actually, I ended up being very angry on Taryn's behalf when a few truths come out. Now there were a few unbelievable things about this story, but it is a story. Besides those things, I did enjoy the overall plot. The strong heroine who has survived for years but at a point of desperation she goes to the one man who she can count on the most. The fact that Jace didn't even hesitate to step in and was willing to do anything he could to get her out of the danger and back in his life. It was all a very compelling love story.

I thought I had a vivid imagination. Boy, was I wrong. Donna Grant has proven with this story that her imagination is off the charts. Her story grabbed me and took me on a rollercoaster ride of extreme drama. The author had me devouring page after page. The author had me cancelling my plans. I wasn't going any where until I finished A Cowboy Kind of Love. The story could go in so many different directions. There were so many unknowns. Gotta say I didn't see it coming. The big "it" is jaw dropping. Hold on to your hat, the rollercoaster just added more twists. As a rescue unfolds I sat on the edge of my seat. The odds are against them. Get ready to have your mind blown again and again. There are so many times that things could go wrong. There are so many shocking moments to keep the reader entertained. When I finished A Cowboy Kind of Love; I sat surrounded by quiet. I did not want to move on. I wanted to sit and enjoy the calm within. I wanted to enjoy the love that had oozed from the pages. I wanted to show respect to the deep friendships that have made each of the books in the series so addictive.

Having not read the previous books in this series, I was pleasantly surprised to read the book and not feel lost. Although the supporting characters were the main characters in their own stories, I felt I knew them. That is the talent Donna Grant has when writing. She weaves a story with prior characters that only want to make you read all her books. Jace was an alfa male but with compassion and love. Taryn loved him from the start but left him due to a situation out of her control (I will not disclose detail as not to spoil). When Taryn comes back into Jace’s life, he is the one she knew she could count on. The story proceeds with them falling more in love and handling the situation at hand with the help of his friends. Once again, Donna weaves a story that captures you from the beginning and keeps you enthrall throughout. Great characters, compelling story and the love story with a Happy Ever After. A must read for Donna Grant fans and those who are looking for a new author to follow.

A Cowboy kind of Love!! Wow don’t I want that!! Jace has never stopped loving Taryn and how lucky is she in at least love! With a family she needs to protect and secrets she can not share will they ever get on the same page this time? Take a thrilling ride into this love story and you will not be disappointed.
