Description

The latest nerve-shredding thriller from the bestselling author of The Dinner Party…

When Leah Talbot hits a deer on a deserted road she spots a light on in a nearby house and approaches, hoping that someone is home.

Martin Tate, a charming and handsome man answers the door to the bedraggled and traumatised Leah, inviting her in. Though she’s not there for long, Leah feels an indescribable pull to the man who has helped in her hour of need.

Returning the next morning to express her gratitude, Leah is shocked by the crime scene tape covering the entryway to the house. The sole occupant of the house had been murdered the night before.

The sole female occupant.

The Good Neighbor is an absolutely gripping crime thriller that does not let up the pace! Perfect for fans of Lucy Foley and Alex Michaelides.

Reviews

Praise for R.J. Parker:

“Wow…just wow and wow again, I really really loved this utterly brilliant, well written, enthralling, thrill ride, in fact I loved it so much that I read it in one sitting. It was packed full of action, shocks, twists and turns and had me completely hooked in from the first page and frantically turning the pages. I would love to watch a film adaptation of this outstanding book, I think it's worth far more than five stars and is very very highly recommended.” Reader review

“I loved everything about this book, a definite 5 star read for me. I couldn't swipe the screen quick enough to find out what was happening next. A truly epic masterpiece in thriller writing.” Reader review

“A cross between Stephen King and Dean Koontz at their best.” Reader review

Tough one to finish. Plot was predictable and the characters were not likable.

I gave this three stars because I was disappointed in the ending. I was hoping there’d be a confrontation between Leah and Elliot. Overall, will try more books by this author.

Wow - I will never stop at a stranger’s house to use the phone after a car accident! I really enjoyed reading this book, and finished it in one day because I just had to know the ending. My only problem is that I would love to know what Leah and Elliott look like! I know what traumas Leah suffered to shape her character, but more physical descriptions and personality traits would have been nice. The psychopath gave his own impressions based on his perverted thinking and obsession with Leah, but they are twisted and distorted like he is....just pure evil....a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
