This is another fabulous historical romance by Ramona Flightner‼️👍. The novels she writes about the very large O’Rourke family see in 1860s Fort Benton, Montana Territory, are filled with palpable emotion, excitement & love! Maggie O’Rourke is the youngest of Seamus & Mary’s children & has grown into a beautiful woman of 20. Phillip Dunmore is a stagecoach driver & a friend who has adored Maggie for the last few years waiting & hoping she shares his feelings!🙏. This is their story & includes not only romance, but a bit of family discord, threats from an angry & obsessed man from Maggie’s past, fear, danger, a tragic accident, a kidnapping, & is filled with enough suspense, & twists & turns to keep you turning the pages as fast as you can‼️😱👏. You will want to get your copy of Pioneer Devotion now to find out if Maggie & Phillip find happiness or if fear wins out‼️ I must admit that this is my favorite of the O’Rourke Family Montana Saga books (although I’ve loved them all😉). This family has really suffered so much heartache as manifested in this book. One tragedy after another. A lot of pain and suffering. It was very depressing. I almost didn’t finish it. I had to put it aside for awhile but I needed to continue in order to see what happens to poor Maggie. Her nemesis, Jacques, captures her and she lives a true to life nightmare. Bravely she fights him off. Her one true love, Dunmore, lives a nightmare of his own. Each of them suffers greatly. It’s amazing how they bravely conquer their trials and find their way through to one another. A very satisfying HEA concludes this book thank goodness.
