I’ve read the series up to this point and kind of noticed a slight political message, but it’s been subtle up to now. This book goes over the line and the author lays out his left wing liberal slant. I’m always sorry to see good entertainment ruined by artists who can’t keep it in their pants.

Reading one of Spenser books is like visiting a dear friend! The same wit, mystery and action. Always a good story and keeps you on your toes till the end! Please keep them coming!

I enjoyed this book as much as I’ve enjoyed any Spenser book. I can’t tell the difference between Ace and Robert. I don’t know how he does it. A review in some snooty rag said “Atkins is mailing it in.” Such crap. Parker was never completely about the story. It’s one liners. It’s relationships between characters. It was usually Boston. And Atkins hits all of those marks. Just perfectly. Wait. I was wrong. Atkins does do something different. He makes Susan slightly less annoying. Keep writing Ace. I’ll keep reading.

A good story is a good story, & I’ve read every Spenser and I’ve never once been mistaken for a conservative Republican, though I don’t have half the disdain for my opposite as the previous reviewer seems to.
  • Progressives don’t read Spenser books.

Progressives don’t read Spenser books. Stop trying to be woke and stop defacing the memory of a great author and character! Utter trash!
