Description

She’s fallen for her own fantasy...will a real future with him be enough?

Bored by years of underwhelming dating experiences, copywriter Grace McGovern combines her love of Christmas and her longing for romance into the ultimate romance novel—where the heroine is swept off her feet one Christmas by tender, thoughtful, romantic...and utterly unrealistic dates. When Grace has a chance meeting with an attractive man, she’s charmed by their conversation and fun dates...until warning bells jingle. He couldn’t be taking cues from her book, could he?

Engineer Owen Ellis has always been more comfortable with computers and coding than with women. After claiming he was boring and unromantic, his last girlfriend’s bitter parting gift was a cheesy romance book hurled at his head. When he meets a woman whose warm smile and conversation intrigue him, Owen is ready to try again but knows he needs to up his game. What’s the harm in borrowing a few ideas?

Can the Christmas magic last forever, or will their relationship dissolve into another ho-hum holiday fling?

A very good warm and realistic love story. It realistically covers the essence of dating scenarios and learning each others reactions when meeting someone new. NOTE to author: North Hampton is in New Hampshire, not Massachusetts!

This is my first time reading this author and I am so hoping she has written more books. Reviews make a difference and though there was only one, it was a glowing one. I was intrigued enough by that “one” that I knew I wanted to read the book. If you appreciate romance, humor, great and relatable characters, and an actual story without curse words or graphic sex, then this is the book for you. The one thing that disappointed me was knowing how quickly I was approaching the end. That’s when you know you have come across a wonderful writer. I immediately looked to see if she had written more books and found two more that I intend to read. This one was free, a good way to find out if you like an author’s writing style, and I so did ! Take a couple of hours and enjoy a fun , heart warming Christmas story. I am almost positive you won’t regret it.

Do you know how every once in a while that one book comes along that you know will stay with you for a long time? For me that "book" doesn't come often enough. Please don't misunderstand that I am not satisfied with the books I read. Yes, there are some that I could've passed on but for the most part I enjoy the majority. That said, that one one special, memorable book is indeed rare. For me, Twelve Dates of Christmas hit that mark. This book was brilliant. Everything I look for in the perfect novel was there within the pages of this book. If you read the blurb, you don't need me to summarize it for you. While I did indeed love the premise, it was the characters that completely won me over; especially Owen. Oh. My. Goodness! Where has Owen been my whole life? Why can't authors write more imperfect, shy, considerate heroes into their stories. We all love the adonis but reading about Owen was a true breath of fresh air. I want more. I fell completely in love with his character. The only disappointment I had with this book was that I wished there was an epilogue. I wanted to see more of Owen and Grace. Twelve Dates of Christmas is a sweet, endearing, heartwarming and humorous Christmas romance and I highly recommend it! This author is a brilliant storyteller! While I received an advanced reading copy of this book, this is my honest and unbiased review and I thank you for taking the time to read it. :)
