Description

From USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR Claudia Burgoa comes this fake-relationship-office romance that’ll leave readers laughing and swooning!

What happens when the guy who’s afraid of love finds himself in it?

Know what they say about never mixing business with pleasure? I thought it was dumb.
The one about never sleeping with your boss?
I ignored it, too.
I blame Aslan Spearman, the boss
He’s a wealthy playboy who doesn’t believe in happily ever after.
He’s demanding, a workaholic, and a cynical…jerk
He’d rather have a root canal than be in a romantic relationship.
Do you want to know a secret? I think he’s afraid of love.
So when he has to go to the Spearman family reunion in Hawaii with his girlfriend, he’s in big trouble.
That’s what happens when you lie to your family about your relationship status.
It wasn’t important—until now.
What does he do?
He comes to me, his VP of Operations and right hand for assistance.
After all, I’m a problem solver.
Except my personal life is complete chaos.
So we make a deal. I’ll be his girlfriend if he helps me solve my problems.
It’s a win-win situation, right?
I mean, how hard can it be?
It’s not like I plan to fall in love.

Four people died when their plane touched the air on Thursday in an apparent bid not only of killing

His book was disappointing. From the description it sounds like a good read, but it’s lame. Aslan is a very underdeveloped character and Keaton is just blah. The author expects you to believe these two are workaholic power people? It’s not there! Aslan sounds more like a frat boy and Keaton is just … well, blah. No other way to describe her. The secondary characters are not memorable except for Savannah who was a disrespectful child with no appeal either. For a free book, it was okay. I wouldn’t pay for it and won’t be reading any of the other books.

Aslan and Keaton are such entertaining characters! Funny most of the time, yet poignant in others, they keep you from being able to put this book down.

The plot is good and the characters are relatable. The way it played out wasn’t. They both have major relational issues but hers were ones that were never truly dealt with. He did all the ‘screwing up’ and making up and she didn’t have to change or apologize or even acknowledge her issues. He had to do it all. I’m all for a good romance and flawed man figuring out his faults and changing in a story, but this one screamed I’m the woman and I have issues but I don’t care to address them or change and you have issues but you better deal with them and change or I’m out. Even the sister tried to get her to deal with her issues in her young, less mature personality and it was just glossed over and ignored. But hey, at least everyone got their HEA…

Ok read; not the best by this author but ok. I found the beginning a fast read than it slowed to practically a stop.
