Bound by Blood (The Alliance, Book 9)

I LOVED Bound By Blood so much, the Alliance series just keeps getting more amazing!! The push and pull between Saber and Caro is great, the heat is even better. So much is going on and there might be an end to the demons coming soon, or maybe not, you just have to read it and see how amazing it is for yourself. I will be impatiently awaiting the next book!!!!!

Caro appears as the daughter of the recently slaughtered “friend” of Saber. With the appearance of his sister and the demon stones. We finally know understand just how knowledgeable Saber is. Out to make weapons for his stone he finds Caro the daughter of the recently dead weapons maker. And off we go! Fights, attractions, long runs oh my! Saber and Caro fight a demon and Saber wins they find a way of releasing Elena! Can everyone be saved? Are the stones in their weapons the true secret? And what will the Demons do next? Next book is calling our names!

I am enjoying how this series has grown the storyline while we dive into specific couples but still see the other characters and what is happening. Saber & Caro both have past traumas that make discovering who they are to each other a challenge. Their happily-ever-after will be forged in blood and battling for survival! I can’t wait for the next installment of the Alliance series to see how it continues to play out!

Once again Brenda has kept me on the edge of my seat throughout this entire book! I truly LOVE this series, but this one I could not put it down! Saber has always been a mystery man with the Alliance. A lot comes out in this series that makes me fall in love with this character. The horrible things he went through and survived is so unbelievable. Saber once a high level savage and very close to the high level demons knows just how to think like them. Once they learn he is still alive and where he is they will come for him! He will be ready for them though. There is so much I truly want to share, but I do not want to give away any spoilers with this one! Caro is going to grow on me I just know it. Especially since she is Sabers mate. This woman is a killer sword maker and is learning fast just how cruel there world can be! After just losing her parents and Sabers best friend (her father), Caro has to grow up really fast with the demons wanting her for themselves or to just out right kill her like they did with her parents. They tortured them both them before ending their lives, but when they come for Caro, Saber is and will always be ready for them.

Yes please!!! Saber has always been the quiet one but so very fierce. He made me google a Haladie knife when I first met him! When I started this book I could only yell, “WHO ARE YOU!?” to him to find the connection he has! Caro isn’t well trained for fighting but she is excellent in her trade. She also holds the power as being the ONLY person who knows how to save them all! Leaving me on a cliff and begging for more every book! Vampire Awakenings & The Alliance are a world I just adore!! NOW, GO TAKE OUT THOSE DEMONS.

5 Sword-swinging stars!!!!! If you love the Alliance series and think "there is no way this storyline can get any better" then think again! This next installment in The Alliance series stars moody and broody Saber and brave and strong Caro. Just like many of the other couples we have been introduced to, it wasn't exactly love at first sight--but (oh boy) the chemistry is there! Determined to find a way to defeat the demons and savages, Saber sets out to visit an old friend but instead discovers Caro. Seeking revenge and a way to help other vampires, Caro may just be the person Saber needs to give the Alliance (and humanity) a chance. Will these two complete opposite vampires find a way to get along long enough to accomplish their goal? Well, the only way to find out is to pick up this book! PROS: 1) I wasn't sure if I would like Saber based on past info we know about him, but he actually grew on me. Maybe not my favorite of the Alliance men, but he is just as protective and willing to do what needs to be done to keep those he loves safe. I enjoyed how he was different from other Alliance men we have met, and this really added to his character. Side Note: I really want to see the sensitive side of Saber that rescued an orphaned mouse as a child (Please have this in Part 2!). 2) Caro was a complex character that I immensely enjoyed learning more about. It is obvious she had a great relationship with her parents and had an adventurous past, but I did want to see more of this. Flashbacks perhaps? Still, I think she is super bold and does not back down when Saber gets in his demanding and temperamental moods. You go, girl! 3) It may only be part 1 of this couple's story, but you will not want to put this book down. The plot keeps you hooked, and you want to know what is happening with Brie and Asher, Elena and Logan, Caro and Saber, the demons and savages, and the magical stones. Sure, it seems like a lot, but it's easy to manage and keeps you wanting more. 4) The slow burn. Ah! Usually I don't like this, but we are given just enough that it subdues the reader but yet you are craving more from Caro and Saber. Trust me, it comes, but getting there requires your patience (it is worth it!) CONS: **Note: I believe that no matter how good a book is, there is always room for improvement. 1) While there is chemistry between Caro and Saber, I wanted a bit more. I wanted to see Caro pinning for Saber and vice versa. We get a bit of this, but I supposed I wanted to hear more internal monologue. We mostly get them thinking about how they cannot be with the other person, but then their actions contradict this. 2) I wanted more flashbacks of Saber with Brie and Caro with her parents. This could have been done through dreams (Saber) and Caro when she is walking though the house. Caro has this sometimes with the puzzles, but I wanted full conversations between them all (especially Charles). Overall, if you are a fan of The Alliance series, keep it going with this novel. If this is a new world/author for you, jump right on in with the first book in the series. You will get through these faster than you may think. When it comes to Brenda K. Davies, she does not disappoint.

OMG Saber….hot, hot, hot! This is, to me, one of her best storyline. Caro and Saber are a perfect hate, hate love?? relationship. Plus vampires are a brilliant book. Love vampires. I don’t go into a lot of details of a story ( spoilers ) but, I will say this, BUY IT NOW! Weekend is here and you know you want to read. Enjoy!

I absolutely love this series! Saber, such an interesting character.and Caro and him together, all I can say is Wow! Can’t wait to see what happens next

This book continues the story of the Alliance series featuring Saber. So much takes place in this book. Full of action, loads of backstories and the beginnings to a cure and a HEA. The only downside is Sabers story is not complete, you have to wait for the next book Bound by Love.

Love this series. Each book gets better and better, drawing you in to the overarching story while focusing on the couple. Saber and Caro are the perfect match!
