Before long 16-year-old Evelyn is seen by a youthful Hollywood filmmaker, Harry Cameron. Evelyn then lures a 48-year-old chief, Ari Sullivan, so she can get greater jobs. It works. They turn her beautiful and show her how to dress. They need her to appear to be innocent, yet sensual. They also advise her to divorce Ernie so she can be seen dating Hollywood stars. In part II, Evelyn meets Hollywood royalty, Don Adler, and goes gaga for him. His folks were both 1930's stars. She weds him, however, he becomes abusive soon after they wed. Evelyn kisses Celia that very night she finds Don undermining her. Don leaves her before she can leave him, yet he has the studio torpedo her career. Evelyn moves in with Celia, and they start a relationship. Celia leaves Evelyn when she will not publicly state their relationship and marries another man. Evelyn eventually marries Harry, who tells her that he's gay. To be continued...
