I was looking for something to read on vacation. This book stood out and I couldn’t put it down.

I’m normally a paramilitary spy novel reader, but ended up starting The Poet and couldn’t put it down!

I have read the entire collection of Bosch books, and now I find myself reading the peripheral books that Connelly has written. The Poet is amazing and terrifying and thrilling. This is a must read for any Connelly fan.

This isn’t a new book and glad I came across it. Very, very good read.

5 Stars. Surprisingly, this is my favorite Connelly book so far. Don’t get me wrong, they have all been pretty great so far but this one stands out. It also makes me realize how late to the Bosch Universe party that I am. The entire cast of characters were remarkable. The mystery had me completely fooled. King was right, the evil was horrific. It was a thriller that didn’t have the requisite unbelievable escapes, they all made sense. What a read. If you haven’t, read it when you’re finished with whatever you’re reading now. Wow.
