The account of the murder of Fred Jablin as written by this author was very well written and easy to understand. So much research went into this book, and I appreciate it very much. I'm a new fan of this author and can't wait to read her other books. I recommend this book to all lovers of true crime with the exception of young children. I gave it 5 stars because the writing style is so clear and easy to follow. Also because it was so interesting I couldn't stop reading it until I finished it.

Absolutely riveting! Written as well as some of my favorite & highly acclaimed mystery writers do. There are no wasted words. She doesn't include unnecessary peripheral information that might be interesting, but is mostly distracting. I'm a big fan of true crime & she's better than Gregg Olson! And I thought he could be the best! It is so streamlined going from beginning to end without unnecessary digressions. The suspense is killer! I couldn't put it down until I finished it. That's what I like. Good suspense. I love a thorough psychoanalysis with a cray cray killer, but few writers do a good job at this - she didn't muddy-up this book with a half effort & I found it so refreshing - I spent no time thinking about this, most interesting to me, subject - what makes these people do what they do. And the book was all the better for it - you'll see. Enjoy!

I have read all but one of her true crime books. This one is very good, as her books normally are. She gives a real picture of the characters and the way they interact.
