Description

“Kimberla Lawson Roby is a true writer, a storyteller at the top of her game.”
—Eric Jerome Dickey

Alicia Black is back! The pampered, privileged daughter of the irrepressible scoundrel Rev. Curtis Black and protagonist of Kimberla Lawson Roby’s New York Times bestseller The Best of Everything, Alicia makes her triumphant return in Be Careful What You Pray For. Alicia is newly remarried, to a man of the cloth who unfortunately mirrors far-too-closely her rascally dad. The Reverend Black himself, star of Sin No More, Too Much of a Good Thing, and other popular Roby novels, co-stars in Be Careful What You Pray For—a tale of love and ambition that once again deals with important issues as it tells a witty, moving, page-turning story, a bestselling combination that is a Kimberla Lawson Roby hallmark.

BUT it ended very abruptly. Like it climaxed, ended, and lose ends were tied up all in one chapter. Seemed forced.
  • Scandalous

I was on my way and heard part of this book on the radio station had to read it so I got it at the library and read the book in no time then I knew there had to be more so. I have bought all the books with rev black and have enjoyed it. I wish she would put her first rev. Black books on the iBooks so I could get them as well.

Before reading this book, I was not an individual that would read for fun. I am a masters student, so I find my self reading for my studies ALL the time, but never for enjoyment. As my career and academic life are excellent, my personal life is an absolute roller coaster! As a pastors daughter, the title and sample version of the text caught my attention. I just couldn't stop reading! I found my self relating to the characters! I was an awesome experience and I can't wait to read another on of her text!
