Description

The Last Days is a stunning political thriller from New York Times bestselling author, Joel C. Rosenberg

Osama bin Laden is dead. Saddam Hussein is buried. Baghdad lies in ruins.

Now the eyes of the world are on Jerusalem as Jon Bennett--a Wall Street strategist turned senior White House advisor--his beautiful CIA partner Erin McCoy and the U.S. Secretary of State arrive in the Middle East to meet with Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

On the table: a dramatic and potentially historic Arab-Israeli peace plan, of which Bennett is the chief architect. At the heart of the proposed treaty is the discovery of black gold deep underneath the Mediterranean-a vast and spectacular tract of oil and natural gas that could offer unprecedented riches for every Muslim, Christian, and Jew in Israel and Palestine.

With the international media closely tracking the story, the American message is as daring as it is direct: Both sides must put behind them centuries of bitter, violent hostilities to sign a peace treaty. Both sides must truly cooperate on drilling, pumping, refining, and shipping the newly found petroleum. Both sides must work together to develop a dynamic, new, integrated economy to take advantage of the stunning opportunity. Then--and only then--the United States will help underwrite the billions of dollars of venture capital needed to turn the dream into reality.

Pretty good effort on Rosenberg's part. As usual, fast moving, but with the usual abrupt ending and trailing epilogue.

This book was slow, but steady, painting a very vivid picture of just one of many scenarios that could happen in "The Last Days". The ending was nothing short of amazing. I couldn't turn the pages quick enough. At times the book seemed boring, but it brought to light the politics and violence in our world today, but also showed how BELIEVERS IN JESUS in our government could work together for peace. This fragile peace is just that, fragile. There will be an extremely violent end to the real LAST DAYS, but in the meantime we can pray and hope for periods of great peace. Thank you Joel Rosenberg for yet another political thriller which caused me to rethink the possibilities of our earth's future. GOD BLESS!

Joel Rosenberg is a gifted writer. His work of geo-political facts and research is outstanding. Coupling the third lens of prophecy with current day events put me into into a reality/fiction drama I could not stop reading. He also has a great way of building his characters into people you really get to know. Both the good and the bad guys. Lastly as a fellow Christian he has a gift of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a way that is sensitive but is compelling to any true seeker of the truth. Thank you for sharing your gift with me. This is a book you can not put down. It is story that is fictional but could become a realistic happening because there is much hope that it will. Joel Rosenberg is a prolific writer and all his books are very believable the stories have a feeling of actually happening. I look forward to his next book about the Mideast and the characters he creates.

Quite good. Draggy in places, fast moving in others. Not the best book of the year, but a pretty good read

This one the most incredible series of books I have ever read. I bought this book, "The Last Days". Not realizing it was actually the second in a series. I was only a few pages into this book when I purchased "The Last Jihad", the first book. Icould not stop reading, I finished it in less than a day! Great writing, great insight, great characters and great plot. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Phenomenal fast-moving continuation of the Jon Bennett series. It begins with The Last Jihad and builds to this climactic finale. Too bad the entire 5-book series isn't available to download....
