It’s hard to put into words how much I love this book. It is a page turner and if your looking for a book unlike any other , check it out. She is truly a gifted writer , not many people can write about the inner city with out depicting us as illiterate or less than lady like.

I first read this book my freshman year in high school. I may have not fully understood what I was reading but now that I’m older and re-reading this book again has opened my eyes so much more to everything in my life. I have fell in love with this character and fell in love with the religion that’s Islam. This book is a serious life changer and will make you realize the things that are most important in life, how to love, and overcome distractions and fears that life brings you. The whole series is amazing and in my 19 years of reading so many books, this will always be my favorite book.

The coldest winter was the first novel that I had ever read in my life. I couldn't put the book down. Now that I have free time I have decided to read midnight and might I add, it is a great read. Some times I have to force myself to stop reading because it's so interesting.
