With a name like “Danny Daniels,” I don’t expect an inspired story from this.

I loved the way this story balances an actual assassination attempt of President Jackson, pairs it with the existence of pirates, their secret sea rights, and cryptic cyphers.....then parallel it to a modern day political thriller that involves the President today!! Absolutely fantastic! Ive never read a Cotton Malone novel before but I loved it!

I love the historical fiction aspect of this book. However, it is very difficult to follow. I wish there was a key to the characters to refer back to. It seems that character just appear without much introduction. Would like to see a little more character development.

Cotton Malone has become one of my favorite characters in the literary world. And anytime Berry teams him up with Cassiopeia Vitt it's a sure winner. Throw in pirates, Danny Daniels, and Stephanie Nelle and it's sure to be spectacular!
  • Another great yarn by Steve Berry
