Carl Sagan is an American hero. Read this book if you're at all interested in the Cosmos, planetary exploration, the evolution of life, but if for nothing else than for the perspective it provides. Sagan's writing fundamentally changes the way I look at the world.

Dr. Sagan is sorely missed. Though through this book his voice still speaks soft truths. I find it amazing that his vision of planetary exploration is still in place as he spelled it out in this ligature. This is really two books in one, the questioning of religion and the second of space exploration. Read thirst few chapters and open your mind.
  • More sacred than any religious text.

Carl Sagan's eloquent and passionate musings are a true inspiration for generations of humans who are moved by our relationship as a "thin film of life" on the "pale blue dot" with the virtually infinite expanse of the Cosmos. It is both a pleasure and a privilege to have had the opportunity to review the work of a man who had the courage and the tenacity to put forth arguments for the betterment of all Earthly life. Sagan has artfully articulated just how precious and fragile our modest home world is and how dire the need is for all people to come together and work proactively for benefit of humanity and its future survival.
  • One of my favorites!

The world would be a much better place if everyone read this book.
