I have this book in paperback and I like it. Its a different take on Resident Evil and acts more like a side story then anything. It introduces some new characters that appear only in the books and for those looking to read more of the series it fills in a lot of back story. Chris, Jill, and Barry all return but Rebecca Chambers from RE0 is our main character and is very likable and is given some justice. Don't expect a full fledge Zombie experience like you'll find in the previous book or the ones to follow; it deal with a new strand of virus and newer forms of Zombies. Not the best in the series, but worth the read.

I've read the reviews for the book and I had high hopes, I've played all the games, seen the movies, and now I'm trying to read the books but to anyone reading this review even a hardcore fan like me I couldn't get in to it so just go ahead and skip it
