I was hopeful that Shatter Me’s potential would be fulfilled in Unravel Me, alas... 1) Plot: Really repetitive. Juliette kept valuable secrets from Omega Point to create pointless drama that did nothing for the plot. 2) Characters: Juliette became insufferable, Adam became utterly dislikable, and Warner was a mess. Kenji is the MVP. 3) Romance: Juliette and Adam’s feud was pretty dumb, but her relationship with Warner was worse. Warner suddenly does a 180 because he “loves” Juliette after stalking her and invading her privacy. All his despicable actions that made him a somewhat compelling villain were brushed aside by blaming it all on his evil father, and because he has dimples when he smiles. If there’s one reason to continue, I’d be doing it for Kenji. If you’re a sucker for romance, this might be the book for you, but if you’re looking for meaningful relationships and compelling plot, turn back now.

This book was well written and really was that bridge to make Juliette develops into a brave and confident girl.
  • It’s okay.

I’m not sure how to really rate or review this book. The first one got better as the book went on and I bought this one hoping it would be better as well but I feel like she just backtracked on her writing abilities. Part of me feels like it’s a great book with a good plot and the other part feels as if it’s horribly rushed. 90% of the book is just her explaining the simplest things in the most complicated and confusing way possible. It’s definitely not an easy read.
