A great companion to the movie, filling in a lot of plot holes and fleshing out multiple characters in the process. Many scenes play the same but with more depth, and wildly different opening and closing sequences make reading this book a different experience from the movie altogether.

I usually don’t read movie novelizations. But the way books are always better than their movie adaptations, that’s how I feel about this novelization compared to the movie. (Not that I hate the movie.) I loved the extra kills, the backstories, and the more time we get of Michael Myers. And this books ending is disturbing, and rather spine chilling instead of happy like the movie’s ending.
