Denise does it again with her well written mystery! We meet Harper who is a disgraced ex-detective. She ends up in our old friend from
The Rose Gardner series James Malcolms bar. The story keeps you wanting more and guessing who you can trust. Definitely worth the read!
Wow!

James is back! I’m so excited! He’s a character from the Rose Gardner series, you must read them all as i have done. Now we have Harper in this book and she is an amazing person. Harper has a few things she needs to get under control. Although it wasn’t intended James and Harper team up and made for an interesting read. I love this new series so far!

Another fantastic read and a great start to a new series by Denise Grover Swank. Harper is another strong female but is at rock bottom, having to leave a career she loved and moving back to her hometown that holds many painful memories. She finds herself using her detective skills to solve a kidnapping that is similar to her sister’s over twenty years ago. She finds herself reluctantly needing to pair up with a former criminal boss, James (Skeeter) Malcolm. There are many twists and turns and just as soon as you KNOW you have it figured out, something else happens. I look forward to many more books and to see how Harper can grow, change and find her self worth.
