Breakneck pace, engaging character portrayal, unexpected thoughtful philosophical and metaphysical insertions. Now forgiven for 40 Thieves.

The suspense was exciting and continuous. I loved the main characters. This is one book I could not put down.

I’ve read almost all of Perry’s work and have enjoyed every book. So, when I read a reviewer’s comments that Hero was “too long” and “boring,” my first reaction was, “No! Can’t possibly be! This is Thomas Perry!,” and I purchased. That reviewer was spot-on right. I also would add that plot line is weirdly improbable and the characters oddly one-dimensional. Where is Thomas Perry and what have you done to him?

One of the worst book I read until now. Story line is too long. Very slow pace and boring
