Description

Navy A lifetime ago, Cade Wallace was the most popular boy in school, and I was the insecure teenager from a tiny country in the South Pacific who somehow caught his eye. He was everything to me. But I was torn away from him in a cruel twist of fate, and I wrapped my heart in armor to protect it from shattering. Twenty years later, an unexpected encounter might mean a second chance, but there’s something I haven’t told him, and that secret might be the end of us forever. Cade They say you have one true soulmate. And I met mine when I was too young to know how to fight for her. Navy Simmonds was the blonde-haired beauty from New Zealand who set my world on fire, but when she was taken from me, I went down a dark road, one that made me unworthy of her. Decades later, fate puts her in my path again, and I am determined to keep her. But someone else has different plans and I must fight with everything I am to protect her.

Hearts in Armor is absolutely fantastic. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. Laundry could wait. Now I want to say screw it to house work and start reading the Dogs of Fire series all over again. Hearts in Armor is a second chance romance with lots and lots of drama. Cade and Navy have both had a horrible time since they last saw each other more than 20 years ago. They never forgot each other. They never stopped loving each other. Chemistry did not fade. The author does an amazing job of bringing them back together. The stories that unfold are mind blowing. If I didn't believe in fate before, this story would have done it for me. If the second chance romance trope wasn't enough to keep me going; the suspense had me devouring the story. The story became a real nail biter. There were times I wasn't sure who the bad guy was--plot twist. Grab the popcorn. Don't forget the soda. The action and drama will hold you til the end.
