This is my first read by this author. She obviously has read John Grisham and follows his beautiful style of writing. Though she's no Grisham, she can definitely spin a story. I like her timeline at the beginning of each chapter. There's a little bit too much drivel in the middle of the book, but like John Grisham, she knows how to set the hook. I'm not sure if I liked the main character or not. Many ambivalent feelings crossed my mind as I progressed in my reading. She's definitely a control freak as well as a lousy detective. However, she had a very sensual side which was very attractive to this male reader.
