The scenic beauty of their route provided photographers of 1870 to 1930 with a rich abundance of subjects, therefore both the commercial and pleasure aspects of the stretch from Eastington to Cirencester are well recorded. Here Edwin Cuss and Mike Mills present valuable insights into the industrial history of the canals together with the many beautiful views and nostalgic moments which were captured by photographers during the canals' lifetime.
