Description

NATIONAL BESTSELLER

We all know the system isn’t working. Our governments are corrupt and the opposing parties pointlessly similar. Our culture is filled with vacuity and pap, and we are told there’s nothing we can do: “It’s just the way things are.”

In this book, Russell Brand hilariously lacerates the straw men and paper tigers of our conformist times and presents, with the help of experts as diverse as Thomas Piketty and George Orwell, a vision for a fairer, sexier society that’s fun and inclusive.

You have been lied to, told there’s no alternative, no choice, and that you don’t deserve any better. Brand destroys this illusory facade as amusingly and deftly as he annihilates Morning Joe anchors, Fox News fascists, and BBC stalwarts.

This book makes revolution not only possible but inevitable and fun.

  • Some Parts Entertaining, Many Overbearing

I have an enormous respect for Russell Brand, his intellect and humor. However, he reaches a little too far into economic politics and governmental theory to make this an enjoyable read. He makes some excellent points and obviously has done tons of research but the book just groans under the weight of its own indignation. I think I found 7 or 8 of the 30+ chapters really enjoyable but the rest were dense to the point of an academic textbook. If he was going for textbook, great! If he was going for non-fiction, he may have missed the mark by about 20 or so chapters.

Mildly amusing. But offensively dumb. He has a little bit of talent, and a lot of stupid.

Don't be the punch line by supporting this ego maniac self centered loon whose need for attention and promotion outweighs any fair common sense dialogue.

Love this book and Russell. Anyone who is into spirituality, sociology, psychology will enjoy if you have an open mind. Very intelligent conversation to be had and let the revolution continue.

Russell Brand needs to stick to acting - not writing books or making pointless, negative videos to spew hatred. He's clearly miserable, misguided, resentful, angry, and reading this book just might spread that to you.

Aside from his fantastic ideals and viewpoints, Russell Brand’s sheer ability to write the way he does, makes purchasing this book a no brainer for even the remotely interested individual who is zealous on creating a better system/ecology. I highly recommend it!
