Like many of the other reviewers, I have read many of Gregory's novels. I did not enjoy this as much as some of her others. It was very long and repetitive. We didn't need to read about the queen's nightmare more than once. We get the picture...Henry is old and fat and smells bad and if we have read about him we know he is going to die soon. Katherine Parr was a woman ahead of her time and we don't know quite as much about her as we do about Henry's other wives, so from that point it was enjoyable. Still my least favorite of her books.

Wonderfully entertaining book. Very well written. Gregory is becoming the Jeff Shaaura of the Royals. If you like historical fiction, you won't be disappointed.

Never thought I would write this, but this is not one of her best. Have read every book she has written and this was a bore. I think she has run out of ideas, and is just filling the page with words. Better luck next time.

The first half of the book is reduntant and often tedius. However, it picks up and becomes a “cant put it down” book.

I cannot believe I am about to say this: ( I did NOT enjoy this book. Gregory is my favorite author and I have read every single book she has written and loved every single one. This book was BORING! Towards the end, it was a little better. I still adore this author and I will continue to wait eagerly for her next book: )

I love this writer. Her history is always spot on and the storytelling is good. The first half of Taming is a little boring and long. The second half is great! It gives a smelly, nasty picture of Henry Tudor and brings the fear he created in his world to life. I hope she will do another book on Parr, there are more interesting events in store for the Queen.
