An excellent novella! This is a story of Julie and Derek and I loved it! I would like to see it more developed and the relationship deeper. Julie is using magic taught to her by Roland and Kate doesn’t know. Derek has severed from the pack to follow his own dreams/life. He is still very much tied in way to both Kate and Curran but I like the relationship between him and Julie. I highly recommend this book!

Derek is the one character I couldn’t wait to get his own story! From the moment he was introduced, and Kate put him in his place, you just had to love him. In Magic Stars, Derek and Julie are on a mission together to save the city once again. Julie and Derek; a story line I want to see more of, especially when she is older. I think the fact that she is 16 and off limits, is just building the anticipation for when she is of age. A 4-year age gap isn’t much. The story was fast paced with non-stop action and a good start to a new series....Sara
