SAVED BY LOVE

When Dr. Faith Reynold stumbles upon an ancient skeleton that appears to come from a dragon, she’s completely taken aback. As a woman of science, there’s no way, in her mind, that this mythological creature can exist. But when a devilishly handsome man named Dimitri intercepts her path to uncovering the truth, Faith’s curiosity turns into all-consuming passion. She’s never felt this way about any man before. But when Dimitri reveals his biggest secret, can she learn to love the man—as well as the dragon within, in Firestorm, the next Dark Kings novel by New York Times bestselling author Donna Grant.

I am a disappointed fan. The structure of her stories has changed since releasing the stories in four parts. At the same time, there is just too much going on, and not nearly enough stand alone resolution. An especially intense large group dialogue, involving both the Kings' new enemy and Faith's ancestors, does - indeed - go in circles. Yet no mention is made at that time of either the Ulrik look-alike or Faith's mom's obsession with dragons - negations which make the dialogue unrealistic. Con and Rhi carry my interest from story to story, but the author can write better than this. Lastly, regarding the Blaze excerpt - I would have appreciated something more than a mere sex scene. ~Remember, I'm a fan

Button up your hatches! This is an active book. I love this series. I love Dragons! It has been a while since we had a new story so it will take a bit to get acquainted again. Con, King of Dragons, is trying to keep everything cool. Faith found a dragon skeleton and here goes your read. Dmitri came back to his home to take his lost dragon home. There is danger when he shifts. The Dark Fae and the Light Fae are on the move. Then the Reapers are watching. Everyone wants everything for themselves. Soon the pot is going to come to a giant boil. I like this read. It flows around and keeps you on your toes. Donna gives us a good story line. Her characters give you some real action. Don't let this story get away from you. Check this book out and enjoy your reading! I volunteered to read and review this book.

Dimitri has lived his life protecting the world for the knowledge about the Dragon kind. Now that is threatened by an oh, so, sexy, Dr. Faith Reynolds. Faith is an archeologist that has uncovered, what she believes, is a honest to God dragon skeleton. When the uber alpha guard, Dimitri, comes to oversee her dig, she is caught up in his sexy appeal but not even close to Dimitri’s obsession with Faith. He should be focused on removing all evidence of this fellow dragon that was left behind but all he can do is be drawn to Faith and her passion for his kind. Grant knows how to write that smoldering hot ALPHA "king" dragon shifters and the women strong enough to love them. FIRESTORM provides the perfect amount of action intense and romantic scenes to create a strong balanced read. While the multiple point of views brought a new dimension to this series. I received this ARC copy of Firestorm from St. Martin Press. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Tell me a story about a shifter who mate for life and I’m sold! I love the trend of dragon shifters I’ve been seeing lately. There just seems to be something more magical about them versus other types of shifters. I was very entertained with this plot. Faith is an archaeologist who finds bones in a cave that she believes proves the existence to Dragons. The story gets leaked and now there are forces trying to steal the bones at all costs. Dimitri, a dragon king is sent to destroy the bones to protect their existence but ends up becoming Faiths protector against the evil forces. I was hooked immediately when the author teases us with Faith’s pull to the dragon bones. You know there is something going on there. Add to that, she is described as smart but scatterbrained. It’s obvious she needs a protector and what better than Dimitri. He’s your typical gruff, silent Alpha male. I’m eager to read more from this series. ARC provided by NetGalley.
